March 14th, 2007 — Affiliate Marketing
With one of my products, Ultimate Form Mail, going gang busters, I have decided to finally launch an affiliate program. This affiliate program is going to be very generous, and I’m going to put a lot of time into developing tools and tutorials to help my affiliates succeed.
A few things occurred to me as I was planning the install:
- I’ve done a lot of research on different affiliate software and systems
- Installing any of these software products isn’t easy
- I have a lot of technical programming tips and tricks that anyone setting up an affiliate system to promote products would want to know
So, in a future post I’ll be announcing a 48 hour sale on the product I’ve created that’s a brain dump of everything I can show you about creating your own affiliate system (using commercially available software, and which one to use) so you don’t have to pay monthly fees to someone else (like 1shoppingcart.com).
Part of the package is a collection of templates, html, and programming code that I created for my own system. I’ll give these to you so you can plug them into your own system, or modify them to meet your needs.

The only problem was… I wasn’t a runner. Continue reading →

As I mentioned in the last article, I’ve signed up for Vonage in the hopes that it will be good enough to be my main business line.
Depending on which reviews you read, you could think that Vonage was either the best thing since sliced bread, or the worst service ever launched.
Here’s my experience with Vonage:

I hate hearing “A penny saved is a penny earned.”
It’s wrong. And I’m convinced whoever said it was not a business owner.
A business owner knows that saving a penny is better than earning a penny, all else being equal. That’s because it takes more than a penny of sales to generate a penny of pure net profit. Every penny in sales gets whittled down by taxes, marketing costs, backoffice admin, and other expenses.

Today marks the relaunch of this blog, something I’ve been meaning to do for a while.
I’ve been toying around with exactly what the focus of this blog should be. Ideas I had:
